I’m Wren Aigaki-Lander.

Alacrity at Large represents my approach and value, working across sectors with big, bright thinkers. Alacrity means enthusiasm in abundance, with focus and efficiency. It is also a handy portmanteau of the key value coming out of the work I do.

Alignment, clarity and action.

Decades of experience helping visionary leaders shape innovative and impactful businesses

I’ve got an MBA (ESADE, Barcelona) and an undergrad in Finance and Economics (USC, Los Angeles), and have spent my career working alongside some of the world’s most innovative businesses championing purpose-led growth models, values-led culture and wellbeing, movement-building marketing and communications, and future-focused sustainability strategy and activism.

In addition to over a decade consulting at large, my experience includes in-house Chief of / Head of roles in Operations, Marketing, Communications, Business Development, Client Services, and Sustainability.

I bring a uniquely broad perspective across key issues of strategy, culture, comms and impact few can match.

My approach integrates:

  • Strategic vision with operational excellence

  • Purpose-driven leadership with practical execution

  • Cultural transformation with business performance

  • Sustainability and impact with growth and profitability

MY VALUES IN PRACTICE

Work with Alacrity

I love bringing my ear, energy and ideas to leaders and teams. I base my relationships with clients and partners in humanity, knowing their goals and needs, and also laughing together. The work I do gives me lots of energy and I am always willing to share it.

KPIs must be JPIs

Joy, Profit, Impact

I’ve been practicing JPIs as KPIs since my days at Futerra and later, Within. It’s simply this: our measures of success – our KPIs (key performance indicators) serve us MUCH BETTER as JPIs – establishing clear business objectives across JOY (people satisfaction/L&D), PROFIT (financial strategy and sustainability) and IMPACT (value to customers and society). It’s transformative.

Start with Why

If a clear mission or purpose is not already clear – for a whole company or even a single meeting – I make sure we’re clear on where we’re headed. My work always asks “Why” first, and focuses on delivering to this main mission.

Put it into practice

I am only motivated by work that is actually used. I like tangible outcomes – that purpose must be at the top of your strategy. I want to see those company values we worked on together hung on your wall, used in your meetings. Your budget must reflect your JPIs.

My advisory and work sessions are always oriented toward achieving specific objectives and actually moving an issue, opportunity, or team forward.
